Ben Kingsley in final talks to play villain in Iron Man 3

Kingsley ‘Iron Man’ Ben Kingsley is in final talks to play the villain in Marvel Studios and Disney’s “Iron Man 3,” but fanboys will have to wait to see the Mandarin on the bigscreen.
Although insiders confirmed Kingsley’s involvement, Marvel declined to comment on the deal, and insiders denied that the character would be the Mandarin, a brilliant and wealthy Chinese scientist and martial arts expert who uses ten alien-forged rings of power as weapons against his foes.
Instead, Kingsley’s character would play a role that revolves around the spread of a virus through nanobots, given that “Iron Man 3” is loosely based on Warren Ellis’ six-issue “Extremis” series that introduced a new origin story for Iron Man and focused heavily on nanotechnology . Elements of “Extremis” already had been borrowed for the first “Iron Man,” making the character less of an arms dealer and more of a test pilot, with his suit being a jetfighter, of sorts.
